Paul Milliken Biography
Paul Milliken is an award winning journalist currently working as feature reporter for Good Day Atlanta. He joined the station in March 2012.

He was born and raised in Central Florida. Milliken graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Florida in 2002. He also holds a second Bachelors Degree, Gets from Mississippi State University and graduated in 2010.
Milliken began his journalism career in KIDK in Idaho Falls, Idaho as a news anchor for nearly three years. He then moved back to Orlando, Florida and worked as a news reporter for News 13 Orlando for about three years.
Prior to joining FOX 5 Atlanta, Milliken spent over four years as a meteorologist in WRIC TV 8 ABC in Richmond, Virginia. During his time at the station, he earned both his American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association television seals of approval. In Richmond, Milliken was a recipient for a 2010 Emmy award for Best Weather Anchor, and the Virginia Associated Press honored him with a Best Weathercast award two years in a row. In addition, he has also been recognized with a Media Development Authority (MDA) Broadcast Journalism award in 2008 and a Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Mark of Excellence awards in 2002 and 2003. Furthermore, Milliken has been recognized with The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) award with the University of Florida chapter in 2002.
After spending four years with his eye on the sky in Richmond, he decided to head farther south and make his way to FOX 5 Atlanta, where Milliken has been nominated for several Emmy Awards during his time there.
In his free time, he volunteers with local community theaters both on and off stage. But his No. 1 hobby is horror movies! Milliken is also known to sing in his car – so the question is, which is scarier?

He was born and raised in Central Florida. His parents celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on 11 August 2020 according to his Facebook post. Milliken also wishes them a happy fathers day and mothers day and he has a sibling brother and is the best uncle ever to his niece and nephew.

Milliken is openly gay and happily married to his partner Steven Cooper a fellow journalist. They tied the knot in Boston on 27 August 2011. The couple honeymooned in Kenya, a country with laws against same sex relationships but had a positive and discrimination free experience in their trip.
