Nancy Giles is an award winning journalist and actress currently working as a contributor and writer to the Peabody Award-winning “CBS News Sunday Morning” since 2003. She voices her opinions on everything from politics and race to pop culture and the conspiracy of high heels.

Moreover, as an actress, Giles was in the ensemble cast of ABC-TV’s Emmy Award-winning series “China Beach,” and was the announcer and sometimes co-host of “Fox After Breakfast.” Furthermore, she has featured on several films such as “Joshua,” the documentary “Before the Music Dies,” “True Crime,” “Working Girl,” and “Big.” On radio: “The Jay Thomas Morning Show” (New York City), and “Giles and Moriarty” with CBS News correspondent Erin Moriarty (Philadelphia). “G&M” won back-to-back “Gracie” Awards (American Women in Radio and Television) for Best Talk Show. Additionally, she also starred in two ABC television series, playing Private Frankie Bunsen for three seasons on China Beach and hostile waitress Connie Morris on the sitcom Delta. Giles further had guest roles on shows including The Jury, L.A Law, Spin City, Law & Order, Dream On and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. She also appeared in the 1985 Broadway production of the musical Mayor.

In 2017, Giles together with CBS News colleague Nancy Wyatt launched the popular podcast The Giles Files. In addition, Giles and her CBS colleague, correspondent Erin Moriarty, have also collaborated on two public affairs radio series under the Giles and Moriarty banner, one for WPHT in Philadelphia and another for Greenstone Media. Both shows were produced at the facilities of the CBS Radio Network.
