Miles Garrett Biography
Miles Garrett is a skilled journalist currently working as a producer for the FOX 5 Sports team Falcons programming. He joined the station in July 2021.
Miles Garrett Career
From when Garrett joined FOX 5 Atlanta, he has worked on coverage of most major sports teams in north Georgia. Garrett covered the Atlanta Braves run to the World Series with live reports from Los Angeles, California during the National League Championship Series (NLCS). Furthermore, he got the chance to work with the Atlanta Falcons on numerous projects. The projects included trips to road games and also the team’s scouting process before the 2023 National Football League (NFL) Draft. In addition, Garrett covered the East-West Shrine game in Las Vegas and Indianapolis for the National Football League (NFL) Combine. He has also covered the Georgia Bulldogs comprehensively. Furthermore, Garrett was nominated for an Emmy for his feature story on former University of Georgia (UGA) head coach Mark Richt and a player Tra Battle.
In 2022, he was an embed reporter for Georgia Governor Brian Kemp during his re-election campaign. Additionally, Garrett got the chance to have one-on-one interviews with Former Vice President Mike Pence, Governor Chris Christie and others.
Prior to joining FOX 5, he worked at WSBT 22 in South Bend, Indiana where he covered Notre Dame athletics. Before working in South Bend, Garrett was a news and sports reporter for WGXA in Macon, Georgia.
Garrett was born and raised in Georgia. But he attended Elon university in Elon, North Caroline and had earlier on graduated from Cambridge High School (GO BEARS!). Garrett is thrilled to add to High 5 Sports’ award-winning football coverage. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with his dog Dansby.
