Kevin Nathan Biography
Kevin Nathan is an award winning journalist currently working as an anchor for NBC Connecticut on the 11 a.m. newscast. He also co-anchors the 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. evening newscasts at the station. Nathan joined NBC Connecticut in 1996.

Nathan joined NBC Connecticut in 1996 and has since then won twelve New England Emmy awards. Most recently he won in 2023 for his role co-anchoring the 11 a.m. and was voted the best morning newscast in New England. In addition, Nathan has also been a nominee for forty nine New England Emmys including best news anchor.
His passion for storytelling, breaking news, and finding local connections to his coverage runs deep. For over the last three decades, he has reported for NBC Connecticut from all over the country and the world. Sharing some of Connecticut’s happiest and saddest moments; from the coronavirus pandemic to the Dulos murder investigation. In addition, Nathan also covered the Election Night to Inauguration Day, to field anchoring big weather and community events. He has also covered the congressional baseball shooting in Alexandria, Virginia, to live, local coverage at five Olympics and co-producing a documentary on the Hartford Whalers. Nathan has often been the state’s first source of news on history-making events.
Before becoming a news anchor, he spent twenty years as NBC Connecticut’s sports director and reported live from five Super Bowls and seven World Series. In addition, he went on numerous trips to the Final Four for UConn men’s and women’s basketball, and numerous bowl games for UConn football. Furthermore, Nathan was voted the Connecticut Sportscaster of the Year seven times by his peers.
Besides him being the sideline reporter for the UConn Football Radio Network, he also hosted “Sports Talk” on WTIC Newstalk 1080 and filled in as a sports anchor for WNBC in New York. In addition, Nathan also anchored sports at television stations in Huntington, West Virginia, Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Utica, New York.

In 1990, he graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and was named a Division III All-American safety. In 1989 as a senior, Nathan helped lead the Red Devils to the Division III playoffs for the first time ever. He broke the school record with 10 interceptions as Dickinson went undefeated for the first time in 52 years. Nathan was also the captain for the Dickinson baseball team for three seasons.
Nathan attended Phillips Academy high school in Andover, Massachusetts. He is originally from Westhampton, New York on Long Island and spent part of his childhood in Bedford, New Hampshire.
In his spare time, Nathan finds ways to give back to the community he cares so much about. He has served as a board member for a variety of local charities and has volunteered as an emcee and host for hundreds of events across the state.
Nathan and his wife Kristine are the proud parents of three adult children: Ryan, Brynn, and Katy. When he is not spending time with his family and close friends, he loves going to church, reading a good book and running. In addition, he also works out, listens to 70s and 80s tunes, rooting for the Mets, Giants, and UConn, as well as relaxing at the beach.
