Keisha Grant Biography
Keisha Grant is an Emmy award winning journalist currently working as an anchor for NBC Connecticut on weeknights at 5, 6 and 11 p.m. She co-anchors alongside co-anchor Mike Hydeck and Chief Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan. Grant joined the station in January 2003.

She is an Emmy Award winner who has covered a wide range of breaking news stories from coast to coast. Such as some of Connecticut’s most memorable headlines of the last decade.
Grant has been honored by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for her commitment to community involvement. In addition, she has also been recognized with awards from numerous other organizations. Such as The Ohio Valley Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Grant has been honored by The Society of Professional Journalists and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Recently she was the recipient of the Community Award, an honor bestowed upon her by the Consul General of Barbados in New York. Moreover, the Consul General recognized her contribution to the field of journalism while proudly representing her Bajan heritage.
Prior to joining NBC Connecticut, she spent three years as a weekend anchor and reporter at WSYX/ABC6 in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Grant began her career working at KMIR 6 News in Palm Springs, California as a General Assignment reporter.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in TV Broadcasting from the University of La Verne, California.
Grant loves hiking, traveling, mentoring youth and enjoying everything that nature has to offer.
She was born and raised by her parents in Granada Hills, California, in the United States and is very proud of her parents. Furthermore, Grant says her parents are her role models and credits her mother’s strength and her father’s West Indian culture to her strong values and work ethic.
