Justin Felder Biography
Justin Felder is an award winning journalist currently working as a Sports Anchor and Executive Producer for FOX 5 Atlanta. He joined the Station’s Sports team in June 2015.
Justin Felder Career
Felder has covered the Falcons playing in the Super Bowl and Georgia football in the Rose Bowl since his arrival at “The Bunker”. In addition, he has covered the Braves returning to the playoffs and Atlanta United’s MLS Cup run, among other small and big events.
In 2017, Felder received two Southeast Regional Emmys in 2017, one for best sports reporter and the other for his work on FOX 5’s high school football show, High 5 Sports.
Prior to joining FOX 5, Felder worked at WLUK FOX 11 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he covered a Super Bowl, two Final Fours and a wide range of other sports from curling to ice fishing. In addition, Felder covered a variety of sports in the area and across the state. Such as the Green Bay Packers and their run to the Super Bowl, the Milwaukee Brewers, high school sports and outdoor coverage. Furthermore, he worked in front of and behind the camera to produce compelling, interesting stories, often working as a one-man-band. Felder helped start and currently anchor the area’s only dedicated Friday night high school football show. He also provided coverage of all levels of sports on the web, including through social media. Felder won awards for sports reporting from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and the Associated Press.

Before working in Green Bay, he was part of the team that launched WMBF News, the NBC affiliate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Felder anchored and produced sports segment and sports feature stories for daily newscast. He was awarded 2nd Place in Sports Reporting for 2010 South Carolina AP Awards. In addition, Felder was the only person in the sports department and was responsible for all contacts, planning and news gathering. Furthermore, he started with station from before station’s launch gained local recognition for sports coverage. Felder also started and produced weekly high school football show: WMBF News Extra Point.
He was born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Felder graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida (he promises to get along with all Georgia fans). In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing guitar, cooking, and working out.
