Joel Grover is an award winning journalist who is currently as an investigative reporter for NBC4. He joined the station in 2003.

Grover is known nationally for his covert investigations, exposes and and consumer reports which frequently reveal consumer fraud and government wrongdoing. Furthermore, he is focused on covering on Los Angeles homelessness catastrophe with the station’s continuing “Streets of Shame” series.
Grover has attained almost every significant award for investigative reporting, such as Peabody, the DuPont-Columbia, no less than 20 local area Emmy Awards, six National Edward R. Murrow Awards, two Investigative Reports and Editors (IRE) medals and three Society of Professional Journalists Medals.
His investigations have prompted millions of dollars refunds to consumers, amended laws and imprisoned people. His Los Angeles County Health Department’s restaurant inspection program expose caused creation of an A-B_C grading system for L.A. County eateries. Grover’s reports on the nation’s biggest car repair chain Jiffy Lube, caused nationwide changes in the company practices and policies. His investigation of car dealerships in Southern California resulted in settlement refunding $1.5 million dollars to customers and prison sentences for six top managers.
He graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley . Grover started his broadcasting career in Grand junction , Colorado. Prior to joining NBC4 , he worked as an investigative reporter for KSTV in Minneapolis and KCBS in Los Angeles.
Grover is also a successful author and has written two books, “Streets of Shame: The Fight Against Homelessness in Los Angeles” and “The Fix Is In: Inside the Corrupted World of American Politics.” Both books have been well-received by critics and readers alike.
