He then moved to NPR Music for six months , where he wrote daily pieces for the “All Songs Considered” blog and assisted with the acclaimed “Tiny Desk” series. One of his greatest life achievements is having his NPR reporting cited on one of Kate Bush’s Wikipedia pages.
Prior to FOX 5 Atlanta he worked at WABE, Atlanta’s NPR station, becoming the station’s first digital-only producer and editor in 2013. Additionally, in his five years at the station, Raby worked closely with reporters on Edward R. Morrow-winning investigative journalism on how HIV prevention dollars were mismanaged in metro Atlanta, as well as a 20-year retrospective on the Centennial Olympics. He also interviewed Big Boi and wrote personal essays for the Atlanta City Paper.
He was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Raby graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies; Media and Society; Audio Technology from American University in Washington D.C. in 2011.
