Stevens was born in Virginia and has strong ties to the state, but her life has taken her across the country due to her connections to the National Football League (NFL). She has lived in Texas, New Jersey, New England, and Florida, where she graduated from Celebration High School, just outside of Disney.
Her passion for journalism was cultivated early on, which led her to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland, where she graduated in 2022. During her time at Maryland, she was honored as a Fred Young Fellow at WBAL TV in Baltimore, an experience that gave her valuable insights into the world of television news and solidified her commitment to storytelling.
Prior to joining CBS 19 News, Steven’s journey in journalism took her to Washington, DC, where she honed her reporting skills at FOX 5 for nearly two years. In addition, she covered a wide range of topics, from Gen-Z issues to traffic and breaking news, demonstrating her versatility and ability to connect with a diverse audience.
