Angie Goff Biography

Angie Goff is an award winning journalist currently working as an evening anchor and co-host for FOX 5 DC. She joined the station in July 2019 as a news anchor for the newly launched 4pm newscast and the station’s 7pm “Like It Or Not” roundtable.

Goff began her television career as a personal assistant to anchor Mark Steines at public access television cable TV station Torrance Citi Cable in Los Angeles, California. She then moved to CBS affiliate KMEG-TV in Sioux City, Iowa as a morning anchor and reporter. Next, Goff spent about three years at WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina as a news anchor and reporter and won a regional Emmy Award.

She returned to Washington DC CBS Affiliate WUSA-TV as an anchor reporter for nearly four years. In addition, Goff joined DC radio station WVRX, locally known as “105.9 The Edge”, as a member of the “Kirk and Mike” morning show hosted by Mike O’Meara and Kirk McEwen in November 2010.

Prior to joining FOX 5 DC, she worked at WRC-TV locally known as NBC4 or NBC Washington as a weekend morning anchor and reporter for over seven years. Furthermore, she was a member of Today show’s parenting team before leaving for FOX 5 DC. Goff appeared on the fourth hour of the program discussing parenting topics with Hoda Kotd and Kathie Lee Gifford. Additionally, she filled in as a host for Early TODAY and MSNBC.

In addition, in December 2018 Goff created and still hosts “The Oh My Goff Show”, a fun quirky podcast that airs weekly on You tube and Apple Podcasts. According to Capitol File Magazine, her website, ohmygoff.tv ranked #2 in Washington, D.C. for top blogs in 2010. Washington Life Magazine named Goff as one of the capital’s most influential under 40 residents two years in a row.

Furthermore, she has been reporting the news from the nation’s capital for more than a decade. From the caucuses in Iowa to the hurricanes in South Carolina and the Royal Wedding across the pond, Goff has covered it all. In addition, she has anchored breaking stories for network and local broadcasts. Such as the Charleston church massacre, Pope Francis’ U.S. visit and the Congressional baseball shooting in Alexandria.

Goff was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. The family moved to Herndon, Virginia in 1995. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University and was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. Goff lives in McLean, Virginia with her husband and four children.
