Alex Rozier Biography
Alex Rozier is an award-winning journalist currently working as a general assignment reporter on NBC4 News weekdays at 4, 5 and 6 p.m. He joined the station in March 2022.
Alex Rozier Career
Rozier joined NBC4 from Dallas, Texas where he worked as a reporter at ABC affiliate WFAA-TV from 2019 to 2022. He previously reported in many other markets including KOMU-TV News in Columbia, Missouri. Additionally, he also reported for NBC affiliates KHQ-TV in Spokane, Washington from 2011 to 2014 and KING-TV in Seattle, Washington from 2014 to 2019.
In 2007, while a freshman at the Missouri School of Journalism, he joined KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri as a reporter and an anchor as well. Rozier was one of the five winners of the Pulitzer Center YouTube Project: Report international competition. His reporting project was named Guatemala: The Culture that Crawls.
He has an extensive background in reporting significant stories such as the El Paso, Texas mass shooting at Walmart and Arizona Super Bowl 49. Furthermore, Rozier made international headlines as the journalist who alighted from an Amtrak train in Washington minutes before it derailed in 2017.

He is a recipient of nine Emmy awards and three Edward R. Murrow awards. Rozier has had a lifelong passion for journalism and storytelling that started at early age. At fours years old, he avidly watched nightly newscasts in Minnesota his home state. For his birthday that year, he requested his parents to introduce him to a local news anchor Robyne Robinson, his idol at KMSP TV. Robinson agreed to meet him and his parents drove almost five hours to the news station in Minneapolis. He remains his mentor to this day.
Rozier was born and raised in Virginia, Minnesota. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in radio- television journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism in 2011. In addition, he is dedicated to philanthropy especially supporting the LGBTQ + community. Rozier is also a self confessed foodie and loves singing too.
He currently lives in Los Angeles with his partner, Kris.
